why does my avermedia only show a blue screen?

i just baught a avermedia avertv hybrid capture card. i have installed the disc that came with it. but when i go to the tv part in the program and select composite and live just a blue screen aprears. it doesnt show whats on the tv.i have tried differant programs be the same thing happens

First go Control panel/System/Device manager and see if your capture card has the drivers installed.If a yellow "!" appear on your device that means that there are no drivers.Install the drivers from the disc that came with the capture card.After this make a scan for TV channels.Blue screen means "no signal"!
