Its a great all around PC, but its not designed specially for gaming.
To get much more gaming performance, but for much less, look for
1. Intel core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 GHz
(that's right, dual core)
2. 8800 GT 512 mb.- twice as powerful as a 8600 GTS.
3. 2 GB DDR2-800 ram (4 GB will not have a noticable impact)
4. 320 GB Hard drive (Who is ever going to use 750 GBs of space?)
5. Windows Vista Home Premium.
6. Case and power supply is up to you.
