Asus VW266H 25.5-Inch Critiques
The Asus VW266H 25.5-Inch incorporates a 25.5-inch 1920×1200 LCD screen that supersedes Full HD 1080p resolution. Its further giant decision and ASUS Trace Free 2ms response time makes it preferrred for immersing yourself within the latest video games with the sharpest particulars and readability, even for fast movement motion video playback. With a wide array of inputs similar to HDMI, Part Video, DVI-D, and built-in stereo audio system, you may attach your gaming consoles, DVD participant, Blu-ray participant, or PC for instant Excessive Definition enjoyment.
Like it a lot. I purchased one to go with my Asus VW246H 24″ sixteen:9 and liked it a lot I snagged a second VW266H 25.5 ″. The however is available in for a number of reasons. Both VW266H displays suffered from a bluish tint. Totally different batches manufactured a number of months apart. Situation has been reported by others in several forums. Calibration is the cure. A hueypro calibrator took care of it simply fine. The huey professional just isn't as automatic as one thinks, even after setting the monitor again to defaults it took several makes an attempt to get “shut enough” matching for twin ASUS VW266H 25.5-INCH WIDESCREEN LCD MONITOR displays. The blue tinge was fairly noticeable when the VW266H was next to my VW246H. More than likely you'll need a calibrator to make the ASUS VW266H 25.5-INCH WIDESCREEN LCD MONITOR look as nice as it can. You may not notice if you are running only a single monitor and should not very computer savvy.
The second challenge is that it's 1920×1200 and 25.5″ diagonally. This implies the dot pitch is a bit on the large dimension and a few smaller textual content loses its picture quality. In Windows 7 I found upping the text measurement to a custom setting of 115% just about took care of the issue. From time to time the text is a bi t screwy on a number of internet pages. Any larger than a hundred and fifteen% and textual content on those self same web pages are actually messed up.
Colour shift is a bit more than 24″ monitors. Coloration shift is a problem on all TN shows, IMHO anything larger than a 25.5 ″ would not doubt tremendously profit from greater decision, say 2048 x 1152 or 2560 x 1600. Exhausting to search out IPS/VA LCD panels provide you with grea ter viewing angles and higher colour but for most TN LCD panels work out just fine. I Haven't found an honest IPS/VA panel larger than 22″ and that's too small for my outdated eyes. Don’t let anybody child you, if you want a monitor which you can mount on an choice al arm or mount so you'll be able to rotate it one hundred eighty degrees for textual content you really must be taking a look at IPS or *VA displays, TN shows merely are not good as vertical textual content viewers.
The again cover pops off for those who want access to the VESA mount.
Loving the real estate and dimension of these 25.5″ displays. The scale makes up for the shortcomings. If I had it to do over I might probably purchase the X-Rite i1 Display 2 as an alternative of the hueypro. IMHO the hueypro just appears cheap and the X-Rite i1 Show 2 will get higher user reviews than the spyder3 or the X-Rite i1 Display 2. The hueypro is kind of a bit cheaper and did do its job after a number of tries. I'd buy the Asus VW266H shows once more and I'd not be with out a calibrator even whether it is only a hueypro it doesn't matter what monitors I bought. The VH266H gives a whole lot of bang for the buck.
Monitors appear to be the toughest thing to choose in comparison to other laptop parts. TN versus IPS/VA panels. Google is your friend. 1920×1200 (16:10) versus 1929×1080 (16:9). I found that TN panels are just advantageous for most as are either 16:9 or 16:10.
How do you reduce monitor glare on an LCD screen?
I just purchased a 22" Acer LCD monitor and I just figured how to let the monitor auto-adjust itself to my liking. However, there is still a "glare" to it that makes images more fuzzy. It really doesn't bother me, but it could be sharper- and it's a tad too bright. Would buying a privacy/anti-glare filter for my monitor help?
There is no source of light nearby, the glare is coming from the monitor itself!
There are many ways to kill glare while using an LCD screen;
1. Sun light is the mother of all glares. Make sure you face your monitor opposite from the direction the sun is comming from, which is in most cases, the window.
2. Do not have any lights near or shining directly onto the Monitor.
Good luck!
