Optimal Gaming Computer?
I'm looking for a pre-built desktop computer that can handle most any game on max settings without any problems. Anyone have any good suggestions that are under $1500? (my budget is flexible so a bit over might be taken into consideration, but not too crazy)
Looking for at least 4 gigs of ram, quad core processor, a Nvidia GTX card or a slot with SLI capability, and a good cooling system that I won't have to upgrade.
Also, if you can help, no Vista.
**Also, if you can help it, no vista...meant that lol.
It's doable, but going with Nvidia isn't really recommended right now. It means you have to pay more for the same performance as a comparable ATI card. And currently Nvidia doesn't have any DX11 cards- they're expected to launch in a couple of months but aren't available yet.
Here's a great system. It comes with Windows 7 (No Vista)

The Radeon 5850 outperforms the GTX 285 and costs $90 less, can't argue with that!
Here's one with a better CPU but much weaker graphics card (GTX 260). Unfortunately it's the only pre-built quad-core system on Newegg with a GTX card under $1800.

Here's a build you can customize yourself.

I'd go with the first one. But you've got a few choices in any event.
