disable touchpad clickers?
i have an acer aspire one, doesnt have a warranty anymore.
the right click doesnt work anymore, but i still continueto use it with just the left click or with a usb mouse. but sometimes, even those fail to work properly and as i checked the synaptics icon on the notification area, it seems, sometimes the computer detects the right click is being held down. it seems the right click of the touchpad is sticky. issue doesnt happen if i disable the touchpad then just use a usb mouse. but when im outdoors, i still want to be able to use it with just the touchpad.
i already tried removing the palmrest to check if i can fix the clicker but it seems the clickers are soldered to the mobo itself.
is there a way to disable the clickers and just use the touchpad???
Yes, if you go to control panel > mouse > one of the tabs there, there should be a disable function. Or even 'uninstall drivers' if you want to completely un-functionalize it. that isn't technically permanent, but to re-activate it you would just need to re-download the drivers.
