Construction and Design
MSI Wind looks like a big brother of the original 10 MSI Wind. It offers a gently rounded enclosure that is easy to grip, comfortable to hold and small enough to fit in a small backpack or purse. two-tone color scheme looks great, with glossy black exterior and elegant interior in gray. touchpad palmrest is integrated within the same color, but more textured surface. While the keyboard is not tailored gray, it still runs good matte black with white letters. only nagging complaint I can think of is the battery protrudes from the bottom of the foot as a netbook instead of installing the color.
Build quality seems very nice, with no signs of weakness or build quality issues. The face paint overspray are no signs or other defects. Right out of the box this netbook felt different from others Ive reviewed only for its super strong hinges of the screen. Need a firm grasp with both hands to open the screen and it was opened showed zero signs of sag or wiggle. Body felt very strong with no signs of turning, when implemented. Inside the palmrest and keyboard offers good service, very little give under pressure. Bottom of the netbook had some areas where the plastic was thin, but only showed minimal flex when the access panel was removed.
Users want to upgrade the U210 will find it easily from one panel, providing access to hard disk, RAM, and free mini-jack -PCIe. We found a void the warranty if removed sticker covering the main part includes, but is not clear what was the protection. Screen and speakers
12.1-inch screen on the MSI Wind U210 is a 16:9 panel with a resolution of 1366768. Colors seem to be saturated, and contrast were above average compared to other screens we have seen. Atl normal viewing brightness of the backlight bleed was minimal, and only an indication, showing where the screen brightness cranked to 100%. As the glossy, it is not noticed some problems with the rebound, but the problem will surface in the most glittering panels without anti-reflective coatings. Vertical viewing angles were average, the colors begin to turn as fast as 15 degree tilted forward or backward. Horizontal viewing angles are much better, stay with an accuracy of about 60 degrees, the reflections defeated brightness. backlight levels were above average, works well in bright conditions for office, but probably not strong enough for outdoor viewing experience.
speakers sounded average compared to most other netbooks, ensure an adequate size for streaming music, VoIP service, and from time to time, watching a movie. sound quality was not very good, providing metallic sound no bass or medium size. Must be headphones with this model really likes music or movies. Another alternative is using HDMI and digital audio signal routing for HDMI, which supports stereo audio.
Keyboard and Touchpad
People who have a smaller keyboard quite U210 netbook will love the keyboard, and it makes full use of the spacious 12.1 form-factor. This could be considered to be essentially full-size in the same key as the larger size notebooks. I found it very comfortable to type with great reviews each key and worthy of support. right of the keyboard flex short focuses on the L key, but I noticed only very strong pressure. MSI Wind U210 touchpad includes a decent size because of its small palmrest, but it is very limited out of the box. Like the MSI x340 X-Slim, it does not come from any support to enable him to basic functions such as scrolling and sensitivity control. With a little trial and error, it failed to get off the shelf Synaptics drivers work with full compatibility with everything from the economy to adjust the sensitivity of the scroll. While all signs point to a touchpad Synaptics is, or at least very good copy overall, we can not say for sure without the drivers from MSI. Drivers in this case, this would average no advanced touchpad used to snappy and precise touchpad fully functional. Ports and Features
Port selection is above average for a netbook, with HDMI-out, VGA, three USB ports, LAN, and the entry / audio output jack. U210 also offers a 4-in-1 card reader SDHC as well as Kensington Lock slot. other than the core clock n the memory clock,do i really have to care about the PCIe 2.0..., n the number of stream processors?does it really make a difference??
