Capture card problems. need help!?

I have a pinnacle studio moviebox plus cap card and i connected all AV cables to my cap card with the splitters and its in my TV. so i plugged the USB into the back of the card and into my comp and it shows a blank screen. and when i click start capture it says it cannot connect to my video device. please help.
