Waiting to Save with Discount Xbox 360 Games
Xbox system ? If so, then you should know that there are a few retailers in particular that you can visit if you want an Xbox 360 Premium system or even the Microsoft Xbox 360 Core system. Of the hundreds out there, here are a few that are definitely worth considering.~Gamers looking for a cheap alternative to PC gaming are in luck. You don't need to spend $300 or more on a graphics card alone to get fantastic 1080p graphics when you could be spending as little as $300 on an entire console for the same level of graphical fidelity. Although it came out several years ago, the Xbox 360 video game system still produces the best graphics in the video game console market, and gamers with high definition televisions will be able to experience gorgeous graphics and some of the most entertaining game titles to come out in recent years.~When it comes down to spending money, people like to spend as little as possible. If you're the type of gamer that doesn't need to obsessively purchase the latest games on the day that they arrive in stores or online retailers, then you can save a lot of money while still getting the same great games, albeit a little bit later. If you can wait a few months or even a year or longer, then Xbox video games will net you some big savings. There are several ways to go about this: renting, buying used, and simply waiting for games to come down in price as the months wear on.}
Before you go through any retailer to purchase an Xbox 360 Premium system it will be helpful for you to learn more about the video game console and what you are going to get included in your Xbox 360 Premium system package. You will get the Xbox 360 console which features three powerful core processors that are poised to pack a punch, 20 GB hard drive which is detachable and which allows gamers to store their games, music, downloaded trailers, levels, demos and community created content from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Xbox premium games on Xbox Live. You even get a Live Silver membership with which you are able to chat with friends online, send and receive voice and text messages, and access new content from Xbox Live Marketplace demos such as trailers and casual games from Xbox Live Arcade.~A Cheaper Alternative
If paying $50 or more for a video game does not sound too appealing to you, then you can choose to rent games. Game rental companies like Gamefly rentals has consumers paying a small monthly fee in exchange for renting the largest selection of games available, from just released blockbusters to obscure games from ten years ago. For $10 or $15 a month, gamers can rent games for as long as they like without any late fees. This is a smart alternative to buying expensive games, because gamers often only finish games once (if at all), and much of their $50 or $60 purchase goes to waste. Of course, renting games isn't exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game system, and PS3, Wii, and PC gamers can all rent video games for much cheaper than it would cost to purchase them.~Buying used is another great way to get discount discount Xbox video games. Often, you can purchase these games within weeks of new releases, as gamers quickly exchange them for a significant portion of their retail value. At first, this will only save you about five or ten dollars as demand remains high, but they will drop to a fraction of their original price as demand falls. Used games are a safe bet, although many people have a stigma about them. They don't feel that they can trust the quality of the game discs, but the truth is that most gamers take great care of their video games. In fact, resellers will refuse to purchase faulty equipment and video games, so you can rest assured that used discount Xbox 360 games will work as intended, or you will always be able to return them for replacement copies.}
Lastly, most 360 games become discount Xbox 360 games over time anyway. It's not uncommon to find games that are at least 18 months old to cost just half of what they did originally. Purchasing older games is another great way to save money. There are some fantastic titles like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion which have fallen in price because of their relative age to other Xbox 360 titles. If you absolutely must purchase some of the upcoming Xbox 360 games like Fallout 3 when they launch, then by all means, go right ahead. However, you will end up paying more, and for any games that can wait, waiting for several months really opens up the options for discount Xbox 360 games.
The bottom line is that this is a fantastic video game console, one that is definitely worth trying for yourself. Keep in mind that the prices are constantly lowering on older Xbox pro systems as newer versions take their place, and so you can wait even just a few months and the cost will drop dramatically. You do always have the option of buying the game used, but you have to be very cautious if you decide to go this route because you can never really be too sure of the condition of the game if you are buying it used.
What is the fastest video card that is compatible with my G5 for under $100?
I have a G5 Dual 2.5 GHz tower with just the stock Radeon 9600 Pro video card in it. I'm looking for an upgrade. I saw the Radeon X800 XT, but it's hard to find anymore, especially for less than $100. $100 is my budget... I don't need a HUGE increase in graphical performance, but an upgrade would be nice. What cards can you guys recommend?
Wow, that's pretty old
. If you are looking for power for new games and high power apps (which I doubt from your description) I would recommend one of these at the higher price range (listed by performance top to bottom):
ATI 4850 1 Gb, $100:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102834
Nvidia GT 9800 512 mb, $100:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500142
Nvidia GT 250 1Gb, $86:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814261062R
Those are all good for high performance. If you just want a decent mid range card, try one of these:
ATI 5670 512 mb, $78:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102871
ATI 5550 512mb, $60:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131355
For cheap cards, try one of these sub $40 cards:
ATI 4550 512mb, $35:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125337
Nvidia GT 9500 512mb, $45:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187035
ATI 5450 512mb, $40:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131339
Nvidia GS 8400 256mb, $22:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127473R
Obviously the last is if you don't want to spend much at all. Overall, I think I would recommend both the ATI 5670 ($78) to you if you want great performance at a higher price, or the ATI 4550 ($35) if you wan to spend low. Both of these are pretty new; the first has very good performance but is a bit pricey, and the second has very good performance for the price. You'll probably want the 4550.
