Garmin Excels Itself Again Offering The Nuvi 755T

When you are looking for a higher end car GPS system that has live updates and good connectivity, then the Garmin Nuvi 755 or nuvi 755T might fit the bill. It is a really easy to use unit with plenty of features since it can connect to MSN direct to give information concerning various problems about the route to be taken, that may be of significance while traveling. These features help the user getting to the destination with ease and without the risk of confusion.

The information (maps, routes, addresses etc) about the car GPS unit could be backed up on both, a Mac and a PC. The screen is very broad and enables the individual look at 3-4 streets ahead of time of the current position. In addition , it has text to speech and provides lane assistance. It has a currency converter (that doesn't update instantly though), a calculator and a memory card slot, that allows playback of mp3s and also lets the individual look at photos transferred in the computer. Also, a few songs could be downloaded from the Garmin website, free The trip help of the unit is very useful since it even gives mileage from the automobile and also the gas prices at close by gas stations.

The Garmin nuvi 755T unit's speed limit is quite precise and also the route recalculation, when there is a detour, or when the incorrect turn is taken, can also be quite quick. The traffic help of the device is of excellent importance since it assists in avoiding routes with difficult traffic and highways closed due to construction etc instantly. The route to become followed can be very easily customized by telling the unit what to avoid in the numerous steps to be followed to reach the location, like U-turns, Interstates, Toll roads etc. It has weather help and also exhibits existing offers at various locations and shows ads that may be helpful towards the driver.

If there are locations that need to be got to often, they can be additional to the favorites area of the menu and triggered anytime needed. But once saved, the list displays only the street names of the destinations in the favorites area and not the town/city name, which is not really convenient for the user. Also the unit does not display the names of various towns which are being crossed in the course of traveling, even though the screen has lots of room to fit in such information. The names of small water bodies like rivers and lakes are also not recognized through the unit. This could be a little lacking, as the user may discover a place really attractive someplace along his route and would wish to go there sometime in the future, but he will not be able to do so as he isn't aware what the location is actually known as. The release button is placed at the bottom of the GPS mount which makes it hard to remove from the windshield attachment. The keypad of the touch screen has really little buttons that will make input by fingers a very difficult task. So a stylus has to be used for this purpose. The voice isn't very loud, the FM transmitter isn't perfect and the display colors are not customizable either.

The Garmin nuvi 755T or nuvi 755 unit is like every other car GPS system with live updates its best asset. But it's pricier when in comparison to its alternatives. If price isn't an concern, this product can be well worth purchasing for all it has to provide.

Can you help me find an all-in-one memory card adapter/converter?

I have an older Dell computer (from 2004) with no memory card reader - just the usb ports on the back - my digital camera is older, too. It takes an XD card. My daughter's camera takes an SD card. Now our new cell phones (LG Rumor 2) takes a micro-SD card to use it as an MP3 player. Is there a device I can use to put music from my computer (Itunes) onto a micro SD card to play on the phone? Also, I have a Sony photo printer, but it doesn't have a slot for an XD card, just SD cards. Is there an all in one box that I could plug all these things into and share all of the data? Thanks for your help.

XD isn't too old, I got My mom a camera that uses XD, just last Christmas.

Anyhow, all modern all-in-one readers should support XD (My latest one does). For the MicroSD card, you can get an adapter that lets you connect it into an SD slot, which all readers will have. You should get a reader that uses separate slots, so you can use two cards (XD+SD) at once.

The Printer may have a USB port, which lets you print directly off the camera, with it's USB cable plugged into the printer.
