VGA Switch: An Essential Component for Viewing Video from Multiple Devices

Using these units, multiple high resolution VGA video signals can be switched and displayed on a single display without ghosting of images. In fact, a vga switch provides a resolution of up to 1920 x 1440 @ 60 Hz and a bandwidth of 250 MHz. The images presented are crisp and clear and appear as though they are directly connected to the source device. More than one switcher can be daisy chained to expand the number of computers that can be connected to each other. VGA Cables are used to connect these switchers to both the source as well as the display devices, thus eliminating the need for long, bulky coax cables with BNC connectors. Switching is done quickly and easily through the front panel control buttons or through the use of optional IR remote control or RS232.

A VGA switcher is compatible with multisync SVGA, VGA, & XGA monitors and is also compatible with PCs, MACs and SUNs with VGA video. These units are available in various models such as manual switchers, automatic switchers and matrix switchers. The Video matrix switch version comes in 2x2, 2x4, 2x8, 2x16, 4x4, 8x8, 16x16 & larger units. This switch is a combination of a video switcher and a video splitter in one unit and allows for multiple video inputs and multiple video outputs. A key feature common to some models is auto scan mode. These devices can extend video signals at distances up to 100 with standard VGA cables, and up to 1000 feet using the Cat5 matrix versions. Due to the built in video signal enhancement, quality of video is always maintained. These units support DDC, DDC2, and DDC2B protocols. Some switchers are available with audio and have the ability to switch balanced and unbalanced stereo audio. Valuable space and money can be saved by using the VGA monitor switch as it eliminates the need for redundant monitors.

Digital Signage applications, Classrooms, Boardrooms, Hospitals, Trade shows, Conference and entertainment facilities, Courtrooms, Control rooms, Casinos, CAD Applications, Remote monitoring facilities etc. are ideal places for these devices as in these places, information is presented from many computers.

Home Theater HD Digital Projectors Have Come A Long Way|Modern HD LCD Projectors For Your Home Movie Theater

Presently, the word digital appears on billboards, magazine pages, television commercials and in so many other locations that we would be hard pressed to go a day without some sort of mention to the word. Technology has advanced with incredible speed over the course of the past twenty years, and this is demonstrated when examining modern home theater systems. Not that long ago, a home theater system was thought of as good if you had a mammoth, grainy television and a pleasing stereo surround sound system. But, with the advent of better digital technologies, home theaters have become both more sophisticated and more expensive.

Home theater LCD projectors have changed exceedingly since their introduction to the industry. Initially, the absurd size and inordinate costs of projectors made household theaters only a distant dream. The vast majority of home theater users weren't actually in houses.  Initially, it was only colleges and major businesses that could afford such costs. With today's technology, little, low-cost projectors are easily accessible of the general public.

Before you buy a multimedia projector, you have to remember a few things, first of which is where the projector will go. guarantee that the image presented is appropriately sized and that the projector is suited to the size of the chosen room. You also need to determine if you will attach the projector on a table or from the ceiling.

luminosity is a essential component that differs within the various models. A 1,000 lumen projector would be vivid enough for a room lacking windows or natural light. Whereas, if you are in a room with any kind of extra light, you will need greater than 1500 lumen. If you get a projector with too few, you will have difficulties seeing the picture.

The resolution, or sharpness of the picture, is available in several resolutions for home projectors. Presently, there are no resolutions available lower than 800x600.  This low resolution is referred to as SVGA. This resolution will be adequate for smaller picture sizes, but allotting the money on a increased resolution would be a wise investment. Other resolutions include XGA (1024x768), WXGA (1280x768), SXGA (1400X1050), 720P (1280X720), 1080P (1920X1080) AND 1080I. Regarding full HD, 1080P is currently the finest and will allow for an astounding image. Though 1080i was considered to be the best for an extended period of time, 1080p has now usurped it as the best possible resolution for a home theater projector. 1080 is a citation to the number of lines of resolution.

As opposed to years past, when household theater digital projectors would cost you a small fortune, now a days there are many cheap projectors available. Often for less than $1500, you can purchase a projector that will transform your home into a personal movie theater. The home projector is an crucial part of the home theater, and once you've picked which model to buy with a figure in mind, all that's left is the screen, audio system, and comfortable seating for unlimited of movie enjoyment.

change VMWare SVGA II?

How do I change video card adapter for VMware?
the basic SVGA II isn't recognized by the game as an adequate card...

Im trying to play the Sims 2, and I have an 8800 GT.

Thanks

I have VMware version 6.5.1 workstation.

You can't.

VMWare doesn't provide access to your actual graphics card, only to a very basic one that it emulates.

Somewhere in VMWare there is an option to enable 3D acceleration (You may need to google it), if you turn that on you *might* just be able to play Sims 2, but it is unlikely.

Why are you trying to play games in VMWare instead of installing them natively anyway?
