Need help deciding on the right PC to go for?
I am currently deciding what computer to build, One is Intel based and the other is AMD based
The specs for the AMD
650 watt power supply
Ati Radeon HD 4850 DDR3 1gb
AMD quad core Phenom 2 955 Black Edition 3.2 ghz AM3
With an Asus M4A785TD-V EVO AMD 785G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 TwinX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit
two sata drives one 160gb and a 320gb
The Intel rig will have
ASUS GeForce GT 240 1GB GDDR3 HDMI/VGA/DVI PCI-Express
Asus P5Q SE 2 Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 4 x 2.50Ghz 4Mb Cache 1333 FSB Quad Core Processor
And 4 gb ddr 2 ram and a 320gb hard drive
Both I'm stuck to decide weather to stick with intel as my own PC was intel core 2 duo, and those both rigs cost roughly the same price.
The first one has a fast clocked processor and fast mainstream graphics. It will easily outperform the Intel rig.
Here's how processors compare in gaming:

The Phenom ll X4 955 easily beats many of the Intel quads.
And the GT 240 does not appear to be a card for serious gaming:

GT 240 is outclassed by the HD 4850.
So go get the AMD rig.
